Where do I even start?

At Bitcosm, we’re aware that not all people are familiar with the Internet (yet!). We sometimes forget that the terms (and tools) we use daily can sometimes make a person feel like a tourist in a new city, in an unfamiliar landscape — with a language barrier, too!

We try to simplify the understanding of domain ownership by providing excellent software tools that are served up from a world class hardware infrastructure. Our main goal is to provide you with an environment that is the strongest foundation for a powerful, scale-able online presence. We’ve started with the best hardware and software packages we could think of, in terms of speed, security, reliability, user control, content, and ease-of-use.

You may have signed up for hosting, super excited to get your website going, logged into your cPanel account, and thought to yourself, “Whaaa? What does all of this stuff do?! There’s so much stuff! This is overwhelming to me!”.

Do not fear, because Bitcosm is here!

Here are a few things you can do to start off on the right foot. The icons below are the same icons that you will find in your cPanel account.

  1. Create an email account and test it out! It’s standard protocol for a domain to have a “postmaster” account. In cpanel, simply click on Email Accounts and you can set up that account in seconds! You can have as many accounts as you wish. In there you will also find information on setting the email account up on your devices, and using webmail to access from a browser.
  2. Install a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate for your domain. One click…done.
  3. Put up an “under construction page” using Site Publisher
  4. Play!! Now it’s time to start trying out applications in Softaculous, or building a website with Site.Pro Builder or even building one from scratch with a PHP framework if you are a bit more comfortable with coding.

Go ahead and explore all the cPanel icons and Softaculous apps!
